Causes for the inconsistency are as follow:
- Different schedule with the employees under each sponsor
- Time management of both sponsor and employee
- Lack of aggressiveness and push from sponsor
- Employee not open to talk about their issues/struggles
Action plan to address the issue:
- Be more aggressive in checking with the employees. Always make a follow-up if they would say they are busy to really have even a 15-minute talk with them.
- Have the talk at least once a month via zoom or in the office. Weekly is not necessary since some employees find it tedious and time-consuming.
- Consistency in sending the touchbase form to the employees under our bucket to check up since some of them are more vocal when written rather than face to face conversation.
- Sending another anonymous form monthly wherein they can provide any feedback without the need of introducing who they are to boost their confidence that whatever they say will not be taken against them.
Causes for the stop of activities:
- WFH set-up
- Limited activities that can cater both WFH and in-office employees
Action plan:
- Reinstate the activities and find creative ways to have everyone participate.
- Start with our activity this month.
¶ Employee Rewards and Recognition
Causes:
- WFH set-up and refusal of employees to come to work due to fear of COVID
- No endorsement from Team Leads/PMs with regards to people they want to be recognized or rewarded.
Action plan:
- Survey within the employee under each sponsor to ask who they want to commend for the week with regards to performance, etc.Sponsor can send a personal note to the employee commended that someone wants to give them a pat in the back in order to boost morale.
- Employee of the Month reinstatement.
- Team treat once the project is delivered. For WFH employees, they will be given a token but for employees who are part of the team but coming to the office for work, they will be treated to a restaurant of their choice. WFH employees cannot join this.
